Clover’s Kitchen is Closing in SL

November 15th was my first rezday (as Clover) in Second Life. In the year that I’ve been about, I’ve seen bad decision after bad decision made by Linden Lab, with little to no concern for what we, the residents and content creators, think. “Your world, your imagination” is truly a farce; it’s become “Your imagination, our gain” and I simply can’t stand it anymore.

I’ve decided the time has come to put my money where my mouth is. I’ve already pulled my goods from XStreet SL, and will close my in-world shop on December 2nd.

I’ve already opened up shop in the OpenLife grid as my main, Mistletoe Ethaniel. Said shop even has a blog already.

I could stay in SL, and continue to make money, and wonder how much of it I actually get to keep. Or, I can leave and start over on my own terms. I choose the latter; unlike Linden Lab, I choose not to sell my soul to sell.

I want to thank each and every customer who has made Clover’s Kitchen a success. I invite you to join me (as Mistletoe Ethaniel) in OpenLife, as I carve out a new start. Perhaps it’s the place for you to make a new start as well. Look me up there. Ask me stuff.

Off to the Wild Frontier

It’s with some sadness that I announce that Clover’s Kitchen will be closing its doors in Second Life and on XStreetSL as of December 2nd.

However, we plan to open up in OpenLife as the ability to do so becomes available. It will probably be largely decorative items until the ability to script them develops. I look forward to this exciting new adventure.

Thank all my SL customers for a wonderful year. I hope to see you again in OL!
